My dearest friend recently got married. I wouldn't be myself if I wouldn't make some crochet gift for this occasion. I made a pair of two little dogs (they are based on russian toy dogs), boy with a bow-tie and a girl with a flower headband.

You can use this free pattern to make your own wedding gift or just to make a little dog for yourself. You can make other accessories, use the ones I made or leave a dog without one, he will also look cute :)

Materials:

You will need:
  •  hook 3mm
  •  black, beige and in You want to make accessories one other (for my it's salmon) yarn ( I use the yarn which gauge is 24.0 to 30.0 sts = 4 inches )
  • black beads (5 mm would be best) 
  • cotton or other stuffing

Pattern:

Head (Make 1 - for each dog)
black yarn

R1: sc 6 in MR (6)

R2: inc around (12)

R3: * sc, inc * X6 (18)

R4: * sc 2, inc * X6 (24)

R5: sc around (24)

R6: * sc 3, inc * X6 (30)

R7 - R10: sc around (30)

R11: * sc 3, dec * X6 (24)

R12: sc around (24)

R13: * sc 2, dec * X6 (18) FO





Stuff the head.
Body (make 1 for each dog)
black yarn

R1: sc 6 in MR (6)

R2: inc around (12)

R3: * sc, inc * X6 (18)

R4: * sc 2, inc * X6 (24)

R5:  BLO (back loops only) sc 24 (24)

R6 - R7: sc around (24)

R8: * sc 2, dec * X6 (18)

R9 - R10: sc around (18)

R11: sc around (18) FO


Stuff the body.
Mouth (make 1 for each dog)
beige yarn

R1: 4 sc in MR (4)

R2: * sc, inc * X2 (6)

R3: * 3scin1, inc, sc * X3 (12)

R4: sc 2, inc 2, sc 4, inc 2, ss (15) FO
Leg (Make 4 for each dog, back legs are shorter stop after R5)
start with beige yarn

R1: 8 sc in MR (8)

R2: sc 7, ss (8) FO


change to black yarn
R3: sc 8 (8)

R4: * sc 2, dec * X2 (6)

R5: sc around (6) FO for back leg

R6: sc around (6)

R7: sc 5, ss (6) FO front legs




Make two shorter back legs and two longer front legs.








Ear (Make 2 for each dog)
black yarn

R1: sc 4 in MR (4)

R2: sc around (4)

R3: * inc, sc * X2 (6)

R4: * inc, sc 2* X2 (8)

R5: * inc, sc 3 * X2 (10)

R6: * inc, sc 4* X2 (12)

R7: * inc, sc 5 * X2 (14)

R8: sc 14 (14)

Ear hair (Make 2 for each dog)
black yarn

R1: sc 7 (7)

R2: ss 2, ch 3, ss 2 in chain, ss,  ch 3, ss 2 in chain, ss, ch 4, ss 3 in chain, ss, ch 4, ss 3 in chain FO







Inside ear (make 2 for each dog)
beige yarn

R1: 4 ch (4)

R2 - R3: sc 3 (3)

R4: dec, sc (2)

R5: dec (1) FO


Tail (Make 1 for each dog)
black yarn

R1: 5 ch (5)

R2: ss 2, sc 2 (4) FO



For a girl we will make a flower and headband


Flower ( Make 1)
salmon yarn (or any else)

R1: sc 6 in MR (6)

R2: * ch 2, ss in ch, ss * X6 FO


Headband (Make 1)
salmon yarn (or any else)

R1: 15 ch (15) FO

For a boy we will make a bow- tie with a tail to put  around the neck

Bow (Make 1)
salmon yarn (or any else)

R1: 12 ch, ss in 1-st ch to create a circle (12)

R2: sc around (12)

R3: sc around (12) FO
Wrap a yarn in the middle form a bow and tie.

Collar around neck (Make 1)
salmon yarn (or any else)

R1: 17 ch 917) FO








 Okay all the parts are ready now. We will sew them up now.



Let's start with ears. Sew the ear hair to the edge of the ear opposite to where the last dec was made. See the photo for reference.




Sew inside ears to each ear.


Stuff the head and body if you didn't do that earlier.

Sew the head to the body.


Sew front legs a bit below where the head was sewn.



Sew the back legs like he is sitting facing each side.



Sew the tail at the back.



Sew ears to the head.



Take mouth and make a little nose with black yarn



Sew mouth to the head, you can stuff a bit if you want.



Take two black beads and make the eyes.

With beige yarn make a small lines above the eyes.



Sew collar around neck for Your boy dog.



Sew the finished bow-tie in front under mouth.

For a girl Sew headband between ears on the head.

Sew the flower near one ear asymmetrically.


THE END. Two cute wedding dogs are finished.
